Hello,Family and Friends
Sharing some more Wheel of Time Design work done for director Uta Briesewitz.I love character's like this cus it caters so much to my creature design background and love to see how i can take a fantasy character and ground it in realty in some way...I basically combined a lamprey mouth with a cobra snake neck.Fade was a character she needed to me tackle and i was trying to bring back a very old design concept i had done for Blade 3 many years ago when i was at Steve Johnson's EdgeFX when we were bidding on it.. i felt might b something ineteresting with this character since it wasnt used back then. The concept is that the neck muslces and tendon'a extend outward similar to a cobra snake as the mouth widens and gets bigger. In the end i didnt present this as i felt it diverged to far from the simplicity of his look as he is described in the books and fans might not like it...so ill save it for something else...maybe a another vampire creature in the future..LOL:)......u can see the quick rough doodle i did as something to go by and then jumped into 3d to see how it would look fleshed out.....never finished the sculpt and stopped as soon i felt it wasnt working specifically for the fade character's...wrong movie..LOL:).......fun to explore though....there is a movie turntable at the end to see it go from the mouth closed to open........allot more design work to come.....i want to mention also the very talented Nick Dudman did all the practical make up FX for wheel of time with some more added great talent Howard Swindell,Brooke Dibble and jack Dudman...please make sure u see there wonderful work as well🙂.....kindly thanks
