Hello ,Family and friends …..posting more Beastman concepts from Masters of the Universe working early on closely with Directors Adam and Aaron Nee vision..here u will see how in depth we went in trying to figure out a Beastman that could fit in the budget needed cus he had a huge role in the film and it’s very very costly to have a full body practical fur suit as we all wanted to stay nastalgic and build as much as we could practically to b shot on set.So @adamnee and @aaronnee had a great idea to give Beastman admore with his iconic color palette …at first I was hesitant but when giving it actual thought and started to sketch out ideas it grew on me and think it would of been awesome ….i referenced a lot of samurai armor and made it almost armadillo layers to have lots of movement to his action required stunts and the padding would help with that as well….u can see the breakdown of the process here…..I did do a pass of fur break so we could have that option as well to see what the design would b and costs….we worked with costume designer @annfoley and her team to help realize this great character and Ann had one of her graphic artist @maybellepinada break down his layers ,patterns,details to b able to pass onto vendors for the practical build ….u can also see here the makeup designer exploration on the balance to humanoid to beast details we considered so we can cater to the fans and also give production what they needed as well……Beastman is one of my most favorite characters in MOTU and it was a dream working on his exploration…..I have many sketches and more to post on him in time ….i want to always end my post with I loved what ended up in the Travis knight film and all the artists involved …beautiful work …much love and respect ..#beastman #mastersoftheuniverse #conceptart #creaturedesign See less

Hello,Family and Friends ….posting more Beastman designs I did way back on Masters of the Universe under the direction of David Goyer ,writer director who wrote a edgier script more lord of the rings tone….which would of worked and been very cool…..worked with awesome production designer @alechammond who had a great take on this world building …u can see here we went more feral and bigger in scale …..the main thing was to really bring the cartoon in realty and grounded as possible …these r from 2016 motu exploration …ALOT more to come …..again wanted to also mention i love this new film by Travis Knight….saw it 2 times in the theatre’s and cant wait to see it again streaming humbly thanks
