AvP Alien Queen early Exploration "updated sketch from 2001 to 3D"

Im posting a Alien Queen design i had done back when i was working in Practical FX at Steve Johnson's EdgeFX biding on Alien V Predator in 2001.through out the years allot of friends and colleagues have requested to take my original sketches and to 3D sculpt of them to realize the design i was attempting at the time orthographically.Finally i had sometime over the past few recent months to chip away at this loose 3d rough sculpt.i will update these and show progress as i chip away at it.Also i want to mention that i love the original design by Cameron and execution by Stan Winston's Studios....Its is a beautiful design that has been a huge influence in my creature design career as im sure it has been for allot of u as well...Nothing but Respect....when Steve and i where approaching ideas for the Alien Queen we wanted to stay true to the source but give a bit of a different sihlouette to the design that could still b simple,bold and in the same design language.we came at it from more of a spider aesthetic.Even though we werent awarded the job i after the fact ive always referenced these sihlouettes on other creature i was design for future projects.Ill b posting the other sketches as well very soon.....Humbly thank u...stay safe:)
It goes without saying with all do respect that the origonal xenomorph design (best creature design in film history ) was done by H.R. GIGER
