Hello,Family and Friends ….sharing today some early Teela concepts from my time on Masters of the Universe under the direction and vision of Adam Nee and @aaronnee……teela is one of my favorite characters and very challenging to concept in my humble opinion ….we were going more for Teela 2000 cartoon is regards to her over look ….with female characters it’s always hard to balance how much skin we show and ontop of that Teela original cartoon look has some shapes that accentuate elements of the body we need to not draw attention to do to it being a youthful brand.in the first concept we went for her classic look but stating away from soft round edges and making it feel like armor capturing the graphic look of the cartoon but layering her….the next concept we cover her more and layer her with ancient motif as well plus keeping to her color palette .then we tried fur and a cape to see how that would look but still trying to retain a essence of Teela that is recognizable.the forth concept is a collaboration with costume designer Ann Foley and a friend concept artist @phillipbouttejr that was on her team that added more color and played with her shapes a bit more so we r not accentuating anything that draws the eyes to specific areas of her body keeping her as. A warrior Goddess ..the final layout are images of teela we were referencing as we played around with her looks ……thes r just some exploration…more to come on teela ……with all this said I want to say again I loved the Travis Knight film and all involved should b proud of the work done ….love and respect to all ……..humbly and kindly thanks
